Our Oppo are a SEVENTH 11 who are unbeaten in every competitive match they have played this season - before today's match they had won 3 Cup Competitions and our League with 5 games remaining, and won all of their games!

Sadly though they ARE NOT SEVENTH 11 CALIBRE - AND THESE YOUNGSTERS SHOULD SURELY BE PLAYING HIGHER, but if their ambition in life is to play against inferior opposition and win a league WITH A CLEARLY OVER-STRENGTH SIDE, then they have achieved their GOAL!

First half saw us come in 3-0 down, and Jamie O'Brien was our best player. We lost Paul Holland to injury within the first 10 minutes and John O'Dwyer replaced him.

I have never felt so detached from the side as I did today watching the 1st half, and regretably two gifted youngters playing for us let themselves down in this half. RESPECT is the FA slogan and is there for a REASON - the referee was excellent and he dealt with decent and over committed tackles excellently.

Second half saw Scott Farmer replaced by Mick Ward after 55 mins, and lets just say that he was lucky to avoid a 2nd yellow card, which would have resulted in a red card for an over-committed tackle. After 60 mins Tom Kelly replaced Sam Ward. I think we were losing 4-0 at this stage.

The oppo totally outplayed us, and went on to stuff us 9-0! Also, their keeper scored a penalty to make it 8-0!

This scoreline could have been ridiculous, and it was mainly kept down by Simeon Cunningham who was SUPERB in goal! Also, Chris Jackson was our BEST outfield player in defence. These players deservedly were joint man of the match!

We were disheartened at the final whistle, as this was such a RIDICULOUS mismatch! We have managed to give every side a game in this league all Season, with the exception of our 2 games v Parmiterians VII! It was like playing against a Professional Football Side, who just took the Pxxs out of us.

Oh and the funny thing is that our esteemed League Committee are questioning our selection policy based on 4s and 5s league positions  which is an ABSOLUTE JOKE, especially with this side who we played against today probably having been overlooked! Our Oppo would I think give our 1's a game!
